Georgetown University has long used Blackboard as its standard Course Management System. Recently, a new Course Management System, Canvas, has been gaining popularity because of its flexibility and extensibility. You can learn more about Canvas here. CNDLS, in collaboration with UIS, is piloting the use of Canvas on campus, and we've received very positive feedback.
As an early adopter of technology and ITEL recipient, we would like to invite you to a demonstration of Canvas on Thursday, December 10 at 10am in ICC 227. At the demonstration, we will show the features of Canvas and reveal an exciting opportunity for faculty to be involved in a pilot project running Spring 2016.
Please join us if you are interested in exploring alternatives to Blackboard.

Light refreshments will be served.
If you have any questions, please contact either Peter Farkas, Director of Educational Technologies or Jennifer Lubkin Chávez, Program Manager for Technology Enhanced Learning.
